Every month I spotlight a local business that makes our community feel like home. These are the places where neighbors run into each other, where owners know your order, and where every dollar spent stays close by. For October, with football season in full swing, the pick was easy: our very own 4th Quarter Bar & Grill in Point Venture.
When 4th Quarter opened its doors in 2024, owner Melissa Sloan brought a full-service sports bar and kitchen right to Venture Blvd for lake neighbors, golf cart regulars, and weekend visitors alike.
Guests describe the space as warm and well put together, with booths, tables, a full bar, and big screens all around the room, so there isn’t a bad seat for kickoff. Melissa has stayed closely involved since day one, often replying to reviews herself, and the kitchen recently rolled out an updated menu.
The momentum is building, too. A second 4th Quarter location is in the works on Spanish Oak Drive in Lago Vista, a great sign for a locally owned business that started right here in our community.
